Welcome

The City of Norborne is located in Carroll County and was founded in 1868 by Norborne B. Coates, a civil engineer for the railroad. In the 2010 Census the population was 708. Norborne is the self-proclaimed Soybean Capital of the World and holds a festival every year in August. We have numerous small businesses but are mostly an agricultural community. We welcome any community association updates, events, history, and pictures to add to the website. All items are subject to approval. Information can be submitted by email or dropped off at City Hall.
