The K&K Club was organized in 1957 and selected the motto ,The higher you rise, the better the view.

As a public service organization, the members have undertaken many projects. It purchased and helps maintain a cross for Fairhaven Cemetery. Yearly, it donates to support the “after prom” activities.

Currently, the club has adopted Freedom Retirement as a year long project and provides a variety of gifts and activities. To make laundry and grocery days easier, two large heavy duty utility carts were purchased and are kept in the community center for resident use.

In both spring and fall, a community potluck meal is provided: salad and sandwiches for spring or chili and soup for the fall. Gift bags with special treats for each resident help them celebrate special days like Halloween, Valentines, or St. Patrick’s. Game days provide bingo and cards as well as prizes for winners.
